Dear Sirs,
We represent [redacted]. We write to notify you that Google is publishing excerpts on its website of a highly defamatory article about our client and directing its users to the article's full text. This is causing [redacted] considerable damage.
As illustrated by the attached print out, when a Google search is carried out using our client's name the second 'hit' invariably refers to a 'Noseweek' article from August 1995. The excerpt printed by Google is defamatory in its own right [redacted]. Further, when Google's link to the 1995 article is followed to the archives on the Noseweek website (a South African satirical magazine) [redacted]
At times, search engines remove different results from country-specific searches. You may want to compare searches across national domains. |
